This is my parents' '91 Ford F-150. I'm house-sitting for them, and borrowed it to pick up a new closet door for the laundry room. It has the 302 V8 and a 5-speed manual, and 4WD.

I do love my Fiat, but if they told me tomorrow that they would take over the payments and trade me the truck, I'd say yes in a heartbeat. It's old, dirty, guzzles fuel, the a/c doesn't work, and it kind of smells; but I friggin' love driving it. It's not exactly fast, but that V8 pulls great in every gear. Even overdrive. I think that once the Fiat is paid off, a big old manual 4X4 truck will be my next vehicle.

Purchasing a big old manual 4x4 truck can be one of the best experiences. I highly recommend it!

Every time I've driven this beast, it just clicks with me. I had to borrow it a few years back when my van's transmission tried to eat itself, and it was the best week ever. It didn't matter that it was summer and the a/c was busted, or that I spent about $100 on gas.

My Dad also happens to have a '92 F-150 4X4 with a manual and the old inline-6. I love that one too, but I haven't driven it in years.

I'm not surprised! That swap from your beloved Ranger to an Italian fashion accessory surprised me, but this? Not the least.

This faded red paint might respond well to a good wax and polish. Why not give your 'rents a little pleasant surprise?

I'd like to see more picture of this truck.

I am a man of mystery.

I would totally wax it for them, but the problem is I know it will just sit in their driveway for the next few months gathering dust. They really have only used it for towing, and they just bought a V8 Explorer that can handle towing their camper. It hasn't moved in the last month; in fact, the last time it was driven was when I borrowed it back in May to bring home some IKEA furniture.

I'm going to tell them if they plan on getting rid of it they need to sell it to me.
